Abstract(in English) Multipoint strain measurement using cascaded long period fiber gratings (LPGs) is realized by applying Fourier transform techniques in that transmittance of the cascaded LPG exhibits periodical channels spectrum and its strain-induced phase shift is extracted from the cross-spectrum between the channeled spectra with and without strain to be measured. In the experiment, four cascaded LPGs with different periods of channeled spectra are arranged in tandem and four-point simultaneous strain measurement is successfully demonstrated.
