A Survey on Generation of Language-Family Tree by Applying Molecular Phylogenetic Approach

Abstract(in English) In recent years, it has become popular to generate language-family trees of linguistics by applying the methods used in molecular phylogenetics field for estimating phylogenetic trees, in order to automatically perform systematic classification of the world's languages. In this paper, we firstly introduce basic vocabulary, estimation of language divergence based on basic vocabulary, cognate confirmation of two languages and method for creating phylogenetic trees used in molecular phylogeny. Then we show new approach of generation of language-family trees. Based on these explanations, we describe the prospects for future research.
