Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We installed an interactive exhibition in a museum and investigated, through a field study, how the display angles of 0, 20, 45 and 90 degrees of the interactive display used in the interactive exhibition influenced personal space of the museum visitors. Our field study revealed that a person in the 45° display space strongly considers the display space to be personal space compared with the other three angles and that the larger personal space is 45°, 0°, and 90° display, in that order. We also revealed that the 45° display was not necessary a "reasonable and safe compromise" with the intermediate characteristics of the 0° and 90° displays.
