Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We tried to estimate a conversational dominance from nonverbal information. First, we sensed and recorded long-term human behavior in a smart room equipped with a wide angle camera and superdirective microphone arrays. Second, we automatically estimated a speaker, and then did speaking time, the frequency of speaking time and speaking turns. Third, three persons evaluated the conversational dominance by watching video clips. Results showed that a dominance person speaks more and holds more turns to have the floor than others. In addition, we indicate the possible estimation of conversational dominance from nonverbal information extracted in automated way.
