Abstract(in English) | When the avatar robot is used in remote communication support system, how to control the robot is the key to the usefulness of this system. The experiments were conducted to examine the effect of head motion control of the robot avatars under human-to-human and human-to-robot conditions. Here the robot is the avatar of the remote person. Task given to the subjects is a group discussion that elects a winner from the three people that have been displayed on the TV monitor. Five-step impression evaluations were carried out about five items. Interesting results were obtained for the following items: Did you find the partner's direction of a look well? Did you find a partner's intention well? Did you make the partner understand your intention well? It was also found that each impression evaluation value has a remarkable difference by the subject's character. |
