Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | Our research purpose is to make atmosphere as if participants enjoy watching a movie in the same room with remote friends by telepresence robots. In this paper, we propose two methods to enhance the viewer's presence. To keep coherence of eye-direction in all rooms even if the robots are freely deployed, the proposed system detects a gazed object and controls the robot's face direction to the object. To effectively express an affect change in non-face-to-face communication, the proposed system estimates the viewer's affect and interprets it into robot body action. These methods realize the suitable remote communication environment for movie-watching in remote places. |
