Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper presents cell search time performance based on the Long Term Evolution (LTE) synchronization signals with the separate frequency spectra for heterogeneous networks including indoor small cells. We assume the indoor small cell models in the hotzone buildings that are specified in the 3^ Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) technical report (TR). Since the carrier frequency of 3.5 GHz is assumed for the indoor small cell, the influence of frequency drift of a standard oscillator of a set of user equipment on the initial cell search time performance is not ignored. Hence, we present automatic frequency control (AFC) for cell search detection. In the AFC, the frequency drift is estimated based on the inner product of the former half and latter half of correlation signals within the FFT block including PSS, and the frequency drift for SSS sequence detection is compensated employing the estimated frequency drift value. Computer simulation results show the effect of the AFC on the initial cell search time performance.
