Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Phase sensitive amplification (PSA) based on low-dispersion highly nonlinear fiber allows performing quadrature squeezing with gain extinction ration of >25dB using low pump power. This method, which we call side-band assisted PSA (SA-PSA), can be used to perform phase regeneration or format transformation of phase modulated signals provide that relative phase between the signal and pumps are accurately controlled. We report a new technology based on SA-PSA to demultiplex a QPSK signal into two BPSK signals carrying the orthogonal phase components.
