Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Recently, AM-OLEDs have been researched and developed as ultimate FPDs with advantages such as high image quality, high resolution, fast response, and super thin form, and loaded on high ends of smart phones. From now on, application areas will be expected to be spread to super high resolution and super large size displays. However, currently, AM-OLEDs have a degradation problem that a brightness degradation occurs depending on the light-emitting history. This is a fatal problem on display characteristics that a sticking image occurs when a fixed pattern is displayed for a long time. Particularly, this is a serious problem for polymer OLEDs that is promising because they can be fabricated using printing process. Therefore, we are proposing "pulse-width modulation with current uniformization". In this presentation, we utilize an equivalent circuits that has the same arrangement of practical pixels and confirm the electrical operation.
