Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) For realizing high accuracy localization in multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) radars, it is necessary to optimize antenna arrangement and estimation scheme. This paper proposes a target localization scheme using a bistatic configuration of an ultra wideband (UWB) MIMO radar. The radar utilized a MUltiple SIgnal Classification (MUSIC) algorithm to estimate time of arrival (TOA), direction of departure (DOD), and direction of arrival (DOA) at each of the UWB signal and combines them using a majority decision. The estimation accuracy depends on the localization methods - TOA/DOA-based and DOD-DOA-based - and the target distance relative to the length of baseline. This paper presents the simulation and experimental results of the proposed scheme.
