Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this paper subjective assessment results of super-resolution (SR) technologies for 4K TV sets are reported. 4K TV sets are available in the market and some of them are said to be equipped with super-resolution image reconstruction (SRR) function. Recently another SR technology was proposed. It uses non-linear signal processing (NLSP) and can work in real time. Subjective assessments comparing SRR and NLSP were conducted. The assessments were combination of Scheffe's paired comparison and ITU-R BT.500. The assessment results were statistically analyzed, and the results prove that NLSP was superior in resolution.
