Abstract(in English) The Track circuit is railway signalling equipment used to detect the presence of a train, which is based on the electrical shunting principle of the wheels and axles of the train. In order to detect trains surely, it is important to investigate the phenomena of the electrical contact between rail and wheel. The contact resistance at the frequency of the track circuit signal may be influenced by the other frequency components. In this paper, the influence of current waveforms on contact resistances is investigated by experiments using a full-scale model. Moreover, we simulated the experimental results by using an electrical circuit model.
