Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) It is known that the human listening ability is significantly reduced in reverberant environments. Our research group is investigating an improvement method of intelligibility of speech in reverberant environments to compensate the reduced listening ability. In our method, the derivative of a time series of cepstrum is treated as a dynamic feature. The method increases the dynamic feature by applying the filter that emphasizes the modulation frequency for the time series. We performed the subjective evaluation by using speeches emphasized by the method whose input is generated by the convolution with the reverberation of a lecture room to the original speeches. Three subjects were participated in the evaluation. As a result of the evaluation, it has been confirmed that the word intelligibility is improved by the method.
