Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Metamaterials are artificial materials and they produce electromagnetic phenomena which do not occur in nature. The metamaterials in this report are composed of perfect conductor wires and spheres. Metamaterials have various structures, and their electromagnetic phenomena are quite different one another. In order to analyze electromagnetic phenomena of various metamaterials, it is very useful to use a simple equivalent circuit model. In this report, we focus on meta-atoms which compose the metamaterial and we try to develop the equivalent circuit equation for the meta-atoms. Because a meta-atom has radiation loss when it is excited, we have to express the radiation loss in the equivalent circuit model. Then, we express the radiation loss of the meta-atom using the propagation retardation of electromagnetic field between conductors which the inductance and potential in the equivalent circuit equation have and produce the equivalent circuit equation.
