Abstract(in English) | The microwave Doherty amplifier consists of two different type amplifiers and quarter-wave impedance inverting network. Therefore, circuit area is large and frequency bandwidth is narrow. We reported a novel Doherty amplifier without impedance inverting network. In order to remove the inverting network, the output matching networks of both amplifiers are designed to realize high performance both at a low RF level and at the RF saturation level. C-band series-connected-load Doherty amplifier without impedance inverting network was designed and fabricated using GaAs p-HEMT MMIC technology. The amplifier achieved a maximum power added efficiency(PAE) of 49.9% and maximum output power 23.4dBm, A PAE under 10-dB input back-off from a saturated outout power higher than 40% is obtained for a frequency range of 6.1GHz to 6.8GHz. |
