Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this paper, I focus on pair programming as one of methodology of cooperative learning. Recent studies and practices of pair programming pointed out that performance of the pair programming depends on difference on programming skill between the pair. Thus, deliberate pair formation taking each learner's traits into account should be needed. In addition, when conducting repetitive pair programming practices, pair formation with changing a partner of each learner should be preferable. Moreover, seat allocation to enable the learners to interact other learners than the partner in pair programming should be promoted for fruitful practices. Therefore, I attempt to develop the optimization method of pair formation and seat allocation in repetitive pair programming practices. Furthermore, the setting of pair programming class to which I will apply the optimization method is introduced and the possible problems are discussed.
