Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Multi-user multiple-input multiple-output (MU-MIMO) technique is one of the most important contributions to improve the spectrum efficiency of wireless communication systems, as long as channel state information (CSI) is available at the transmitter, so that spatial properties of the channel can be exploited by precoding. However, in time varying channels, the transmission performance of MU-MIMO systems is degraded because CSI is outdated due to feedback delay and inter-user interference occurs when CSI is varying. Considering this scenario, channel prediction can provide up-to-date CSI and reduce inter-user interference. However, many studies of channel prediction are considered under stationary channels, so that it is not clear whether channel prediction is applied for real environments or not. In our experiments, there are residual carrier frequency offsets between BS and MSs. These offsets need to be compensated for channel prediction. This paper presents indoor experimental results on the receiver performance with channel prediction. Experimental results show that the BER performance is improved with channel prediction methods such as RLS algorithm and linear extrapolation.
