Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Spinal codes are new class of rate-compatible codes. Decoder of the spinal codes has employed M-algorithm to find the least cost path on the code tree and sorting operation of M-algorithm increases the complexity of the decoder. To reduce decoder complexity, threshold algorithms have been proposed. These algorithms require the channel state information to determine the threshold, therefore, inaccurate estimation of channel state information causes performance degradation and sensitivity of the threshold should be considered. In this paper, we propose the symbol mapping method considering sensitivity of thresholds. In addition, we also evaluate the sensitivity of thresholds of symbol counting based threshold algorithms over interference channels.
