Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Wireless Access in Vehicular Environments (WAVE) communication has been discussed on IEEE 802.11p and established the standard of communication protocol and wireless media, assumed Vehicle-to-Vehicle and Vehicle-to-Infrastructure communications. The present WAVE communication could not fulfill our ITS spot communication systems in performance. Hence, we have developed enhanced WAVE communication devices applicable to spot communications that have a short range of about 10m. This technological development is characterized by optimizing communication parameters, such as channel coordination and synchronization method. Finally we have confirmed not only devices performance but also the functional fulfillments enough for Electronic Fee Collection systems.
