Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The 60 GHz millimeter wave system, such as WiGig/IEEE802.11ad, is being developed actively as a practical solution for multi-Gb/s wireless connection. Not only can it be used for peer-to-peer connection such as high-definition video streaming and high-throughput file downloading, it is also expected to be deployed in a dense small cell network for traffic offloading. This paper aims to give the most up-to-date status of the 60 GHz wireless device development, including a low power CMOS transceiver as well as recent R&D activities targeting future multiuser applications.
