Abstract(in English) Recently the research and development of cognitive radio systems has been expanded along with the growing demand of wireless communications. Authors have developed a network simulator supporting multiple wireless systems and adjacent channel interference based on QualNet in order to enable the evaluation of the cognitive wireless systems operated in spectrum sharing environment. This paper describes the detail of the simulator model which employs spectrum mask and receiver filter. Some discussions based on simulation results including IEEE 802.11 Wireless LAN and ZigBee are also shown. These results indicate the importance of considering adjacent channel interference and inter-system interference on the evaluation of the network performance of wireless systems in a spectrum sharing environment.
