Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In current fingerprint authentication, a requirement of a fingerprint scanner device limits the use of the fingerprint authentication especially on mobile equipment that have no fingerprint scanner. The smart solution of this limitation is to enable fingerprint authentication with built-in digital camera of mobile devices. Therefore, we proposed fingerprint authentication using fingerprint images taken by the built-in camera. This method has interoperability to previous fingerprint scamer's image. I also evaluated authentication accuracy of the method by minutiae matching. The 1.12% EER was achieved with the built-in camera image and 6.26% in interoperating condition between fingerprint scanner and built-in camera.
