Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Recently, Mobile traffic has increased significantly. Wireless LAN is expected for traffic offload. However, the effective throughput of conventional wireless LAN is smaller than expected because of radio interference. The millimeter-wave band (60GHz) wireless system has been studied to improve the throughput, because a wide bandwidth of 9GHz is assigned as unlicensed band. On the other hand, there are some problems to use millimeter-wave band, for example link margin and power consumption. We propose a 60-GHz High-Speed Non-Contact Transmission System to solve these problems and to provide a comfortable data transmission service. This paper describes the architecture of the system and presents the result of evaluation on connection-time and communication-time by prototype.
