Abstract(in English) Interference from the cognitive radio networks is a deterring factor to the implementation of spectrum sharing policies. Effective spectrum sensing technique may alleviate the problem. In this paper, we investigate the cause-effect relationship between spectrum sensing and interference: sensing inaccuracy as the cause, aggravated interference being the result. Interference is expressed as a function of sensing accuracy, where energy detector is used as the spectrum sensor. We also determine the improvement gained from using energy detector of higher accuracy.
