Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) While RFC821 does not allow using CNAME for mail domains, which is, seemingly, unnecessary and unreasonable restriction resulting in confusions on mail protocol specifications. By studying historical background at that time, it is found that specification of RFC 1123, which should clarify RFC821, do not accurately interpret RFC821.
