Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) It is thought to be important to know the level of safety in safety management at work sites. Recently a new index a Leading Indicator that predict the occurrence of future accidents attracts much attention, instead of conventional indicator, so called a Lagging Indicator, that is calculated by the past accident rates. In this study the safety indicators for civil engineering sites was constructed and evaluated. As a result, safety staffs often make much of passive indicators systems, such as instruments at sites, but they should pay attention to whether safety activities are performed eagerly or not as active indicators to evaluate work site safety level properly.
