Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A KY tool using manga comic was developed to make KY activity more effective in civil engineering sites. In this study, the effects of KY using the manga tool was estimated through the interview and questionnaire surveys. In interview surveys, there were many favorable comments by site staffs of a general contractor company that led a KY activity, such as "Work load of KY activities were decreased because there were no need to make sentences nor write a letter on a KY board.", "It is easy to explain dangers of work of the day by manga." and "Manga tool enabled smooth progress of a KY activities." In addition, manga KY was highly evaluated than conventional blackboard KY, especially in items that "simple and easy to understand", "to be impressed on memory" and "allow workers image risks". These results suggest that manga tool contributes to the activation of a KY activity, and also it is effective in work site safety management.
