Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper proposes a new user interface of the Kinect cane system for a visually impaired user to recognize objects in a surrounding environment. First, we newly introduce a speech recognition system so that a user can control the Kinect cane system based on his/her own voices. Second, we also introduce a parametric speaker to notify a user about the positions of target objects which the user instructs the system to search for.
