Abstract(in English) | This paper explains cutting edge technologies of the IEEE 802.11ac standard, and the activities of the next 11ax Task Group (TG) which was established in May, 2014. One of the main topics to be discussed in 11ax TG is throughput degradation of densely deployed AP environment, in addition to increase of the transmission bit rate. In Japan, the Association of Radio Industries and Businesses (ARIB) performs investigations of some problems, which are related with carrier Wi-Fi. Meanwhile, 3GPP has started the study of licensed assisted access (LAA) systems which combine licensed radio frequency bands and the 5 GHz unlicensed band in order to mitigate cellular traffic expansion. |
