Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Quality of service (QoS) has been traditionally evaluated by measurable indexes such as packet loss rate, delay, and bandwidth. In recent years, quality of experience (QoE), an evaluation method based on users' subjective evaluation, has attracted more attentions than QoS. The QoE will change depending on users' psychological factor and usage environment even though the network state is the same. In contrast, there have been few researches focusing on the difference of communication lines. If the communication lines change, for example from wired connection to mobile Internet, users will get used to the new network, and thus the experience will change their QoE. This paper measures and compares the variation of QoE with four communication lines on a smart phone and a personal computer. We also analyze how the usage environment affects to the QoE measurement.
