Abstract(in English) This paper proposes a social viewing system, which is usable for elderly people without help from others. Social viewing is a communication that uses social media such as Twitter to share a comment for a TV program on the air in real-time. Our system aims to increase opportunity of communication of elderly people who have less communication with others because living alone. Many of elderly people have difficulty in using social media and digital devices. To avoid this problem, we utilize TV remote and a virtual agent, which can interact by voice/speech. We build a preliminary system that reads Twitter comments aloud, and have started a trial use by elderly people.
