Abstract(in English) We've proposed a cost effective and small size optical transceiver based flexible printed circuit (FPC). For the realization of large scale transmit, high-speed operation is required for the optical transceiver. However, the coupling loss between photodiode (PD) and waveguide has occurred because of high-speed PD's small aperture. To overcome this issue, we developed a novel lens integrated technique on PD. We achieved 40-Gb/s operation of FPC-based optical transceiver by using this technique. The integrated lens allows us to use the PD which has the narrow active region with low coupling loss.
