Abstract(in English) | In order to realize of the 5th generation (5G) mobile network with super high bit rate and capacity, we employee small cell using higher frequency bands based on the Phantom cell concept and apply Massive MIMO to base station (BS) super high bit rate transmission. In our previous studies, we evaluated a feasibility of 20 Gbps Massive MIMO transmission in 20 GHz band and 400 MHz band width introducing a uniform planar array (UPA) with 256 antenna elements. This report show the throughput performance of a downlink Massive MIMO transmission with adaptive modulation and coding (AMC) and rank adaptation (RA) based on the average signal to noise power ratio (SNR) that calculated by radio link budget considering the antenna height and total transmission power of 30 dBm. Cell range for 10 Gbps and 20 Gbps transmission is clarified with the antenna height of 10 m, 5 m and 2.5 m for BS and 1.5 m for mobile station (MS). This report also evaluates the influence of the angle of departure and arrival of zenith and azimuth and the improvement of throughput by tilting the antenna of BS while the antenna height is 5 m. Moreover, in the group mobility scenario that Massive MIMO with 64-element UPA on the receiver is used as a wireless backhaul (moving backhaul) for a large number of user equipments within the same moving train. The throughput performance is shown via link level simulations while the location of the BS of wireless backhaul is changed. |
