Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) When the Quasi-Zenith Satellite System positioning service is applied to the synchronization in wireless communication, many terminals located in wide area can be synchronized each other in time and frequency domain. It can provide high efficient wireless communication while maintaining simple control scheme which is one of the advantages of Wireless Distributed Network (WDN). Because the location and short message communication system must accommodate a number of terminals using satellite communication with large round trip time, it is difficult to employ the precise and complex control scheme. Collision capable simple scheme like ALOHA would be suitable. So this system is regarded as one of the application of WDN. SS-CDMA realizes the direct access from terminals to the satellite and many users simultaneous transmission using large spreading factor SS-codes. In this paper, physical layer transmission performance and access control scheme are shown. 1/8 normalized frequency offset in symbol rate and 1/8 chip timing jitter can achieve good performance near the 100% accommodation rate.
