Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) ΔΣ modulator used as A/D or D/A converts in audio and biosignal processing systems can realize high accuracy However, limit cycle is caused by the input of 0 or DC signal in the ΔΣ modulator, since negative feedback structure is included in the modulator. This limit cycle becomes a factor of unexpected tone (idle tone) appearing on the signal band. In this study, we focus on the chaotic modulation which is used to inhibit the idle tone in the ΔΣ modulator. We investigate performance of a first order ΔΣ modulator considered a integrator leak by using bifurcation and FFT analyses. Moreover, we show that performance of first order ΔΣ modulator can be confirmed by bifurcation structure.
