CS detection based on interleaved sub-images for the atmospheric correction of GB-SAR interferometry

Abstract(in English) Ground-based synthetic aperture radar (GB-SAR) interferometry is principally capable of capturing a few tenths of millimeters; however, it requires atmospheric correction to achieve higher accuracy. A method is based on coherent scatterers (CSs). In this paper, a newly proposed method for the detection of CSs is discussed. The method detects CSs by taking the complex coherence of two SAR sub-images, which are formed by interleaving one data set and applying SAR processing respectively. An outdoor experiment illustrated that the method can successfully detects corner reflectors as CSs, and the movement of a target can accurately be measured. Since the method requires only one data set acquired at the analyzing time instance, it has an advantage in the real-time detection of target movements over a conventional method that requires nember of data sets.
