Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Trajectory information will be a basis of the future air traffic management. Indices associated with the complexity and safety of airspace will be required for airspace design and air traffic management related studies. We propose an approach using an index based on parameters concerned with aircraft proximity encounters, namely the time to the closest point of approach (CPA) and minimum distance. The approach deals with the mapping of trajectory information onto the proximity parameters; furthermore, this can be mapped onto a real number in the interval [0,1]. This paper briefly describes the method of mapping and some results of numerical calculation by the proposed method.
