Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this article we consider a statistical method to generate test cases automatically based on both Markov usage model and operational profile. By introducing the design information of software in the reward structure, we define a Markov reward process and challenge to test software efficiently. In our previous work, we used the relative order of design metrics in each module as the reward. In this article, we applied the metric values themselves to the reward. Finally, we conduct a fault injection experiment with a real software program and show that the test generation algorithm with the metric values could detect much more faults than the existing algorithm with the relative order.
