Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We propose an applied C programming exercise with card-game strategy for problem solving learning. We adopt Poker game with a simple draw type. A player aims to make a poker hand by changing cards in his hand set within certain times to get a given point. He repeats some takes using a deck and acquires the amount of points as the game score. He must consider which card to discard in a hand set according to previous used cards. We offer an execution environment for the Poker game. A student must implement a strategy program by C programming. We develop a contest management server WinT. It manages uploaded strategies of each student during a contest period. It calculates a game score of each strategy by many executions. It notifies the result and exhibits the ranking table. The style stimulates students' competitive volition and promotes their motivation to revise a program in trial-and-errors. The final score of each student is the best score in his strategies. We carried out some educational practices. In this paper, we report the supporting method and the results. We discuss feature analysis of submission codes in the final contest.
