Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) There are numerous challenges in implementing and sustaining e-learning system in developing countries. In Nepal, which is also a developing country the reasons mostly are unstable network connection and lack of computer literate people who can look after the operation of the system. In this paper we will discuss about the e-learning system that we are implementing on Community Wireless Network located in Kaski district of Nepal. The objective of this paper is to develop a sustainable system, system that can work readily for prolonged period of time under extreme conditions brought by frequent scheduled power cut offs, low speed internet and the scarcity of e-learning contents. We will achieve this by integration of file sharing techniques, database clustering, and database replication.
