| Abstract(in English) | In this paper, we present the performance evaluation results of Hadoop applications on hybrid clouds. We built three hybrid clouds using two regions of Amazon EC2 (ap-northeast-1 and us-east-1) and the research cloud in National Institute of Informatics. Then, we developed an estimation model of application execution time and compared the estimated results with the experimental results. The results reveal two phenomena as follows: First, we can expect application performance improvement by utilizing remote resources in a cloud. Second, we observed large error between the estimated results and the experimental results for the application with large communication. |
