Abstract(in English) | We a developing an in vitro exposure apparatus for the observation of stimulation effects on nerve cells under extremely high-strength 20kHz magnetic field exposure. We investgated two exposure apparatuses : a whirlpool type coil and a figure-of-eight coil. We performed a dosimetry evaluation for the induced current in the cell culture medium. The maximum induced current density was 224 and 87 A/m2 in the whirlpool type coil and the figure-of-eight coil, respectively. The induced current flowing at the edge of culture medium, in the case of the whirlpool type coil, while in the case of the figure-of-eight coil, the induced current flowing in the center. A whirlpool type coil is useful when it is required to flow strong and steep induced current in the exposure subject. A figure-of-eight coil is useful when we need to control the induced current direction in culture medium.. |
