Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We consider a relay system where two users are served by one Base Station (BS) and one Relay Station (RS) based on Decode-and-Forward (DF) half-duplex protocol. We propose two relaying schemes that serve both users simultaneously by superposing the two-user messages into three layers based on discrete Hierarchical Modulation (HM). By appropriately adjusting the power allocation ratios, one scheme enables to maximize the sum-rate, while the other maximizes the General Proportional Fairness (GPF) metric. Simulation results show that the proposed methods outperform conventional relaying schemes over a large SNR region.
