Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Recently, the millimeter-wave band is becoming more important in next-generation wireless applications, such as automotive radar, IEEE802.11ad, and 5G wireless systems, increasing the need for millimeter-wave measuring instruments. Evaluating spectrum in this frequency band has been performed by combining a spectrum analyzer with a harmonic mixer on the conventional setup. On that way, target signals are disappeared in the noise due to high conversion loss and the spurious due to inadequate responses occurred on the measurement system. This report shows the effect of developed 140 GHz spectrum analyzer with fundamental mixer and pre-selector to improve dynamic range on spectrum analysis, and evaluation result.
