Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Short term Fourier transform of periodic signals introduce periodic temporal variations in their Frequency domain representations such as power spectrum, instantaneous frequency, and group delay, depending on relative phasic relation between the windowing function and the signal under study. Static representations of power spectrum and instantaneous frequency were already introduced by ours in search of temporally static representations. In this report, a new group delay representation which effectively eliminates temporal variations caused by signal periodicity is introduced with derivations. Test signals and actual speech signal examples are analyzed to illustrate behavior of the proposed representation. While this static representation is designed for speech analysis, modification and synthesis systems, it is also applicable to visual images with periodic structures.
