Information Hiding Technique to Protect Copyright of Digital Data for 3-D Printing

Abstract(in English) This study presents a technique of information hiding to protect copy right of digital data for 3-D printing. In this technique, information that is hidden in digital data is expressed with the 2-D spatial pattern of cavities in fabricated objects and the depth of each cavity, and such information that is hidden in fabricated objects is read out by using X-ray. In the experiment to evaluate the feasibility of the proposed technique, the difference in the depth of cavity in actually fabricated objects was discriminated using X-ray to examine information volume that the proposed technique can express. The results indicated that the information volume was sufficient for practical use.
