Comparison on Personal Information Protection Ordinates of Prefectures and Government-Designated Cities

Abstract(in English) As the governmental works are computerized more and more, it is discussed how personal information possessed by the government is to be processed. In local governments in Japan, personal information is ordered by their own ordinate. These ordinance has been enacted by each municipality, there is a subtle difference among the content. It is pointed out that this difference is an obstacle to the cloud and to the shared system. In this report, we compare the personal information protection ordinates of prefectures and government-designated cities, and discuss their typology.
