Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper proposes a template renewal method for improving authentication accuracy in biometric authentication with behavioral characteristics, where we deal with mobile devices. Most studies focus on reducing False-Rejection-Rate by selecting and renewing a template that is the most identifiable among one's input data. However, it is also necessary to reduce False-Acceptation-Rate in order to improve accuracy. Using cluster analysis, we select and renew an optimized template that is the most identifiable as a user and is the most distinguishable from others. Our experiment results in Equal-Error-Rate of 3.84% when 7 users authenticate with same hand gestures.
