Abstract(in English) | A novel input interface using the seat pressure distribution with the posture change of the wheelchair user was developed for the electric wheelchair operation. The seat pressure distributions when changing the user's upper part were measured with a sensor seat seated on the wheelchair. We adopted a template matching to identify the posture changes. As a result, we confirmed that four movements (forward, backward, left, and right) of the upper part could be discriminated by seat pressure distributions. We showed the possibility of real time interface would be realized by our method. |
