| 抄録(和) | 本研究では,対象を白杖で叩いた際に生じた音だけを利用して対象の硬さを判断できるかどうかについてマグニチュード推定法を用いて検証した.その結果,晴眼大学生(5名)でも視覚障害大学生(2名)でも,音だけを利用して対象の硬さを判断することができた.視覚障害大学生では,対象を叩いた時に用いた白杖の握り方の違いによって,結果に違いが生じた.そして,周波数解析の結果,全ての条件において,硬さが硬くなるにつれて,高周波数成分が増加していた.そのため,硬さ判断と周波数パターンの間に何らかの関係があり,高周波成分が硬さ判断に影響していることが考えられる. |
| 抄録(英) | This experimental study examined the ability of people to perceive the hardness of an object solely through the tapping sounds of a white cane using a method of magnitude estimation. The results showed that both sighted university students and totally blind participants were able to accurately judge the hardness of an object solely by using auditory information from a white cane. For the blind participants, different handgrips significantly influenced the accuracy of their estimation of an object's hardness. The results of frequency analysis indicate that the high frequency components related to the hardness of an object when tapping because the high frequency component of the tapping sound increased as the hardness became higher in all conditions. |
